“The goal of this project was to push the limits. Refining Fire began as a series of conventional acrylic paint pours in green, gold, and red. After digitizing the paintings, I experimented with each painting until it took on its own personality. I’m really pleased with how powerful and fiery this collection turned out.” – Stephanie
Refining Fire I – Abstract Painting
This painting is the process of entering the fire to begin the refining process. Each of us must endure this process, but to take that first step, we have to make the commitment and dive in.
Refining Fire II– Abstract Painting
Refining Fire II depicts the process of being in the fire. The impurities burn up in smoke as we are is held in the heat. This is the most painful and chaotic part of the process, but we must stay.
Refining Fire III– Abstract Painting
After going through the refining process, we will come out as new people. Whose image will we reflect?
