Kevin created “Sunset Palm” out of a variety of exotic hardwoods. A Teak wood panel serves as the foundation for this project, which is inlaid with Purple Heart to symbolize the ocean and Bloodwood to represent the setting sun’s sky. He cuts the pearl with care and precision to symbolize the sun and the light bouncing off the clouds and ocean. The palm is made of ebony wood, which has been cut, curved, and smoothed. This lovely sculpture has been oiled to a flawless finish.

Sunset Palm has been sold, but Kevin can make another at your request.

    This piece of wood art is simply stunning. Kevin's ability to cut all of these lovely features and then inlay them into the wood astounds me. The surface is completely smooth when you move your fingertips across it. Even the parts of the palm tree that aren't flush with the rest of the wood have been sculpted and polished. I had a great time viewing this one in person!
